Community Investment Tax Credit Program
Minimize tax payments, maximize dollar impact!

Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County has been approved by the Maryland Department of Housing and Community Development to distribute a limited amount of tax credits to businesses operating in Maryland and who donate through the Community Investment Tax Credit (CITC) program.  Tax credits are available on a first-come, first-served basis as available.

CITC Basics:

•Any Maryland business can participate, including sole proprietorships, coporations, partnerships, subchapter S corporations, and LLC's
•Minimum donation is $500
•Donations must be cash or goods
•Tax credits worth 50% of the donation can be applied against the business' Maryland state tax liability.  The donation also qualifies as a charitable contribution on both Maryland and Federal returns and is tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
•Net cost to the business donor is approximately 27 cents on the dollar, depending on business' tax rate
