Wicomico County Emergency Rental Assistance.
You May Qualify if:
You are in danger of losing your rental housing because of a reduction in employment hours, or job loss directly related to COVID-19
If your household income is at or below 80% of the area median income (see HUD income limit chart)*
You live in Wicomico County
You Will NOT Qualify if:
You reside within the Salisbury City Limits
You reside in public housing, Low Income Housing, Tax Credit funded housing, or other state financially assisted housing or have already received rental assistance from another source
If you were behind in your rent prior to March 16, 2020
If your household received an eviction notice prior to March 16, 2020
Funding will be available on a first come first served basis for qualified applicants.
Up to three months of rental assistance per qualified applicant may be available.
Utilities, late fees, and other expenses including court costs are not eligible.
Wicomico County Median Income Limits:
*Income is calculated using all household members over the age of 18, including unemployment. Stimulus payments do not count toward household income.
