SALISBURY, MD – Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County (HFHWC) is participating in the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore’s “Shore Gives More Campaign” on Giving Tuesday, November 29, 2022. Habitat for Humanity of Wicomico County has secured $4,535 in matching gift funds, meaning any contribution made through the Shore Gives More website on Giving Tuesday will be matched, dollar-for-dollar, up to that amount. Sponsored by the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore, Shore United Bank, and 47 ABC, Shore Gives More allows donors to support the nonprofits that drive our community on a single convenient website during Giving Tuesday.
Early giving begins November 21st and Giving Tuesday officially begins November 29th. In 2021 Habitat for Humanity raised $16,065 through the Shore Gives More website, and $21,000 overall on Giving Tuesday, all of which was used to purchase construction materials for their affordable homebuilding program.
